H.M.S BOUNTY 1787
In the beginning of 18th century, the slave trade American Colonies had requested the crown to transplant the bad fruit to America in order to reduce the cost of maintaining slaves. The Admiralty outfitted “H.M.S BOUNTY” was in Tahiti where it remained for five months. In 1789 it was placed under the command of 38 yr old lieutenant Bligh .After having completed its task. The leadership of the second in command Fletcher Christian, mutinied Bligh together with second subalterns who were loyal to him, was forced to embark in a life boat with only a little of food and no firearms. In this lifeboat, Bligh traveled 3,600 miles, the only exploit of its kind in the history of navigation.
